Review of Cameron's blog- The Vines

Cameron has created an interesting blog on the Vines, the musical group. If you like the Vines or are interested in them or their music, this is the site to be looking at. Cameron has included information about the band itself and where they are based. He also tells us about each person in the band and what musical instrument they play. He tells us about the original name of the band and why they changed names. Cameron also includes information about the Vines debut album and tells us what songs are on the CD. He also has some information about another band, Nirvana on his blog. This blog is coming along nicely and looks nice and has well written content. Well done Cameron. Here's a link to check out Camerons blog.

Collingwood Ready for Season Start

The magpies are raring to go after a solid pre season, in which they won three out of four games. The players are at their peak with their fitness and skill level and are confident of going a long way this year. Club captain Nick Maxwell said they would have liked to win the NAB Cup but they are moving on and focusing on finals footy. He said Collingwood would need a bit of luck with injuries this year and if that happens they can be expected to be in it right up until the end. Sean Rusling, Anthony Rocca and Paul Medhurst are doing well with their injuries and should be ready to go very soon, possibly by round one. Their memembership numbers are currently at 37,286. The club is hoping to get to 50,000 members.

NAB Cup Grand Final- Collingwood v Geelong

Unfortunately for Collingwood they were smashed in the Grand Final of the NAB Cup. Geelong were just to good on the night, the winnning margin being 76 points- 0.18.19 (127) to 1.6.6 (51). The first quarter was competitive and the scores were level at quarter time, but then afterwards Geelong began to assert their authority and run away with the game. The Michael tuck medallist was Joel Selwood, for his outstanding performance of 33 possesions and two goals. This was a spectacular acievement for Selwood as he is only in his third year of AFL. Gary Ablett also played well with 35 possesions and three goals. For Collingwood Dale Thomas played well with two goals. Unfortunately for Geelong they will be without premiership defender Josh Hunt for the rest of the season because he ruptured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament in his left knee. Collingwood came away with no injuries.

Collingwood Football Club

The Collingwood Football Club is one of the oldest clubs in the AFL. It is currently the richest club in the AFL and has one of the biggest fan bases. The club's captain is Nick Maxwell after Nathan Buckley and Scott Burns retired in the last two years. The team is quite young and are up and coming under the coaching of Mick Malthouse. They are into the semi-finals of the NAB Cup and are to play Essendon. They have been around the top 8 for a while now and hopefully this year they will make the Grand Final.
